Project Unit 11

During the unit 11 we worked on a 3D model about our dream job. We made in groups of four some dolls that represent our dream job. Here are some photos of our projects:

Choosing a musical instrument

Many people would like to learn how to play a musical instrument, but they are put off by one big problem: what to play? Here are a few questions to help you decide. Many instruments are versatile, but some are more suited to certain types of music. Although there is some classical repertoire for the saxophone, for example, people associate it more with jazz, and it is not a permanent feature of many orchestras. Some instruments may lend themselves better than others to the music you like, so consider this before you start. Think about your long-term future as a musician. If you want to play with other people, choose a practical instrument for that. The initial attraction of playing a dazzling solo instrument like trumpet, violin, flute or lead guitar might fade when you realise how many other people are competing with you to get the main part with the same instrument. If you want to play rock music, there will always be a demand for bass players or drummers, and if you fanc

Road Safety Week

Due to the United Nations and Road Safety Week, last Thursday 16th of May we had a lesson where we learnt more about road safety rules. It is important to follow these rules to have attitudes of respect that prevent traffic accidents.  Some of the rules we said at the brainstorming task are these: Know your signals Stop, look and cross Pay attention Don’t run on roads Always use sidewalks Use pedestrian crosses Never sticks hands outside the vehicle Use helmet on the motorbike and the bike

Interactive museum of Music

Last thursday 13th of June we went on a trip to the interactive museum of music in Málaga.  The museum has an important collection of musical instruments from all over the world and from all eras. It has "Please to play" rooms, where we could enjoy playing instruments and learning a little bit more about the music culture in our country.  We also took some photos of the trip:

Clock- Unit 10

During the unit 10 we have learnt the hours. We elaborated analog clocks as project of the unit. Here we post some photos of projects from students of the class:

Sloths (Unit 8)

It's a good thing sloths don't have to go to school. They'd never make it on time. These drowsy tree-dwellers sleep up to 20 hours a day! And even when they are awake, they barely move at all. In fact, they're so incredibly sluggish, algae actually grows on their fur.  Sloths live in the tropical forests of Central and South America. With their long arms and shaggy fur, they resemble monkeys, but they are actually related to armadillos and anteaters. They can be 2 to 2.5 feet (0.6 to 0.8 meters) long and, depending on species, weigh from 8 to 17 pounds (3.6 to 7.7 kilograms).  There are two main species of sloth, identified by whether they have two or three claws on their front feet. The two species are quite similar in appearance, with roundish heads, sad-looking eyes, tiny ears, and stubby tails. Two-toed sloths are slightly bigger and tend to spend more time hanging upside-down than their three-toed cousins, who will often sit upright in the fork of a tree branch

Trip to the zoo

We visited the zoo of Fuengirola the last Tuesday, 12 of March. We saw a lot of animals and we took some photos. Here we post some of the photos we took during the trip.

Project-Unit 5: A Christmas present
